Privacy Policy

Information Collected or Received

BLOOMBEES will not disclose User’s name, email address or other personal information to third parties without the User’s explicit consent, except as specified in this policy.

Each BLOOMBEES User is required to provide a valid email address at registration and choose a username or alias that may represent the User’s identity on BLOOMBEES.

Depending on which services the User chooses to use, BLOOMBEES may require additional information, such as a Seller name, billing and payment information (including billing address, telephone number, credit card information), a telephone number, and/or a physical postal address. As a Seller owner, BLOOMBEES may require information such as a social security number, identification ID or tax ID, date of birth, bank account information, credit card information and/or other proof of identification in order to verify the Seller’s identity and provide this service to the Seller. Credit card information on an account may be stored and used for both billing and payment purposes. BLOOMBEES may contact an individual Seller to confidentially request more information about the Seller or items listed on the Site, to ensure compliance with our rules. Certain products or services on BLOOMBEES may require you to complete an application; any information you submit through the application processes will not be displayed publicly and will only be used internally by BLOOMBEES, unless otherwise specified.

Each User’s username, BLOOMBEES ID or alias is publicly displayed and connected to the User’s BLOOMBEES activity. Other people may see a User’s date joined, reviews, ratings, profile information, items listed for sale, Seller pages, sold item listings, and comments in community spaces.

BLOOMBEES automatically receives and records some information from the User’s browser or mobile device when the User visits the Site or use the Apps, such as the IP address or unique device identifier, cookies, and data about which pages the User visits on the Site or on the Apps. This information helps us analyse and understand how the Site works for members and visitors, and provides a more personalised experience for members and visitors.

When you use the Site, each User may optionally choose to share geo-location details with BLOOMBEES in order to use our location-based services. If the User has provided location details but would no longer like to share that information, the User may opt out of those services through the settings on the Site. The User may also enable the Site to access the mobile device’s camera to upload photographs to BLOOMBEES.

Some User’s or visitors may connect to or register a BLOOMBEES account using an external third-party application, such as Facebook, Google+, and Instagram, or an app developed using the BLOOMBEES API. BLOOMBEES may receive some data from those connected third-party applications. The User may connect the account to an external app, and in such cases the User will be given the opportunity to grant permission. The User can revoke this permission under the BLOOMBEES account settings.

BLOOMBEES may receive or collect information (for example: an email address) about a person who is not yet a registered BLOOMBEES User (a “non-member”) in connection with certain BLOOMBEES features, including but not limited to: a non-member subscribing to an BLOOMBEES newsletter, a member inviting a non-member to visit the Site, a non-member engaging in a transaction, or a User sending a link to a non-member. Non-member information is used only for the purpose it was originally submitted to BLOOMBEES. A non-member can contact Bloombees Support Center if they do not want BLOOMBEES to retain their information.

BLOOMBEES uses the information described in this policy to provide and improve our services and products, for billing and payments, for identification and authentication, for targeted online marketing, to contact members or interested parties, and for general research and aggregate reporting.

BLOOMBEES’ Terms of Use require all account owners to be at least 18 years of age (or have the permission and supervision of a responsible parent or legal guardian), therefore, this policy does not discuss use of our Site, our Apps, or services by minors.

Choice & Control

BLOOMBEES knows our Users value having control over their own information, and therefore BLOOMBEES gives each User the choice of providing, editing or removing certain information, as well as choice over how we contact the User.

The User may change or correct your BLOOMBEES account information (except your unique ID, email address, the Seller’s Sellers currency) on the Site.

For various reasons, BLOOMBEES may contact the User about our services or the User’s activity. Some of these messages are required, service-related messages for Users. Learn more in the Messages from BLOOMBEES section of this policy.

If the User has optionally connected the account to an external, third-party application, such as Facebook, or an app developed using the BLOOMBEES API, the User can remove permission for the app by changing the href=“url”>account settings.

If a User no longer wish to use BLOOMBEES’ Services or receive service-related messages, then the User may close an account.

User’s may only search and find products or Sellers via unique ID. User’s can follow a Seller’s public activity, such as products and other information. Anyone using BLOOMBEES can ‘share’ a Seller’s checkout page via their social networks and other means. No Buyer information is shared on BLOOMBEES.

Messages from BLOOMBEES

On occasion, BLOOMBEES will contact Users. Primarily, messages are delivered by email or by push notifications, and every account is required to keep a valid email address on file to receive messages. In some situations, BLOOMBEES may contact the User by telephone, SMS message or physical mail in order to provide the User with customer support or to provide the User with information about products and features the User may find of interest. The User may update any contact preferences in the account settings.

Some messages from BLOOMBEES are service-related and required for Users. Examples of service-related messages include, but are not limited to: a welcome/confirmation email when a User registers an account, notification of an order, or correspondence with BLOOMBEES’ support team. These messages are not promotional in nature. The User may not opt-out of receiving service-related messages from BLOOMBEES, unless the User closes the account.

BLOOMBEES may offer optional email newsletters. When the User registers for an account, or chooses to subscribe, the User will receive newsletters from us. Newsletters are available to both User’s and non-members. User’s may subscribe or unsubscribe from optional newsletters under the account settings or by following the instructions contained in the newsletter emails. Non-members may subscribe by providing an email address, which will only be used by BLOOMBEES for these newsletters. Non-members may unsubscribe from newsletters by following the instructions contained in the newsletter emails.

The User is responsible for the personal information the User chooses to post in community spaces on BLOOMBEES.
